Some love stories begin with a swipe—and turn into something timeless. Ahmed and Sahee’s journey started on Hinge during one of Sahee’s work trips to Chicago. What began as a simple date quickly turned into something undeniable. Despite the miles between them, they embraced a long-distance relationship with full hearts and unwavering commitment.
On April 3rd, 2025, they made it official with an intimate elopement at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Surrounded by neoclassical architecture, soft natural light, and quiet corners filled with beauty, the museum offered the perfect backdrop for their quiet vows and tender moments.
With both of their families far from the U.S., Ahmed and Sahee chose to focus on what mattered most: the two of them, honoring their love in their own way. Every moment felt intentional—from their quiet first look to the way they wandered hand in hand through the gallery’s sculpture garden.

And because no love story is complete without a little personal touch, they ended their day exactly how they wanted to—celebrating over burgers (Ahmed’s favorite food!) at the perfectly nostalgic Johnny Rockets & Hurricane Wings. It was fun, laid-back, and absolutely them.
This day was proof that an elopement can be just as rich and meaningful as any traditional wedding—especially when it’s built around what brings you joy.
